Jerum Murch Clock Going to Auction

This grand old man is about to go under the hammer. The lovely longcase clock, with a 27cm brass dial is signed Jerum Murch, Honiton. It has a silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals with a calendar aperture to the centre. It is fitted with an eight day movement in an oak case which is crossbanded with mahogany. He stands 184cm tall. Sadly no date seems to show in the picture.

Having little real value compared to his glamorous companions in the auction, the Murch clock is valued at only £100-200. However, that also makes it a real bargain. Lets hope it goes to a good Murch home!

The sale takes place at Charterhouse Auctioneers on the 27th July.
